Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 11:25AM Congratulations to the happy couple, Anne Hughes & Jeff Stekl! They were married in our vineyard on Saturday with the ceremony on the island of our pond. It was a gorgeous wedding and a wonderful evening to celebrate with friends and family.
We raise our glasses for all that the future holds for Anne and Jeff!

If you do, you'll find a cozy circle of five distinctly different wineries tucked along Leelanau's Northern Wine Trail. Stop by and visit us, Silver Leaf Vineyard & Winery, along with Raftshol Vineyards, Leelanau Cellars, Forty-Five North Vineyard & Winery as well as Circa Estate Winery.
From Traverse City, just take scenic M-22 and venture 15 minutes north to Suttons Bay. You can also stop along to visit the many nature preserves, scenic turnouts and parks.
Friday, June 10, 2011 at 9:16AM Do you have tickets to the upcoming Leelanau Peninsula Vintner's Association 2nd Annual Small Plates Event yet? Make sure you purchase a seat at one of our three separate seatings, because one lucky attendee will win a weekday stay in our cabin rental!
With a cost of only $11 per person per seating, the Small Plates Event is quickly becoming known as one of the greatest values of the season. The event is on Saturday, June 18th and will feature seven of the member wineries. Each winery will offer a full glass of wine paired with a tapas dish.
At Silver Leaf, we will have 3 separate seatings, one hour each from 6:00-9:00pm. We'll be serving petite crab cakes with a red pepper coulis paired with our new "oak mellowed" 09 Reserve Chardonnay. They will be prepared by Chef Josh from The Village Inn in Suttons Bay. We're limited to 20 people at each seating, so reserve your spot quickly!
Everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to enter their name for our giveaway! One person will enjoy a night in our cabin (a $150 value). Our cozy log cabin boasts spectacular views of our vineyard and neighboring cherry trees. Enjoy your relaxing time during a no phone/no TV get-away.
If you're the lucky winner, you can enjoy our vineyard grounds, picnic near the cedars in our vineyard, take a two-mile walk through our vineyard, or you can always go wine tasting!

Friday, May 6, 2011 at 3:41PM On Monday, May 2nd, we were featured during the May event of the 2011 Chef Tour by 106.7 YOU-FM at the beautiful Mission Table on Old Mission Peninsula. We had a wonderful 4-course dinner made by the awesome chefs at Mission Table. We enjoyed risotto, salad with Werp Farms' greens, lamb from JRJ Ranch and an awesome fried chocolate cream pie for dessert. Each course was paired with one of our hand-crafted wines.
We had a lovely time and met some new friends and fans of Silver Leaf Vineyard & Winery!
