Tickets Now Available for the 2nd Annual Wine Release Weekend

Come celebrate Michigan Wine Month with the Northern Wine Loop! We invite you to celebrate with our 2nd Annual New Release Wine Weekend on Friday, April 26th.

We will be kicking off the weekend with a special tasting event on Friday night at the Bluebird Restaurant in Leland. Join us for special food and wine pairings and an opportunity to preview and celebrate the Northern Wine Loop's first white and blush wines of the 2012 vintage and some of the first red wines from the recently bottled 2011 vintage. 

Meet the winemakers, owners, and general mangers of our 10 participating Northern Loop wineries! Enjoy elegant small plates prepared by the Bluebird with our paired new release wines.

Tickets are $25 each or two for $40. Tickets are available in our tasting room or online via MyNorth.com.

Can't make the Friday evening event? Join our tasting rooms on Saturday, April 27th for one complimentary pouring of a new release wine!

Photos from Taste the Passion Wine Tour

We had an excellent time during the Annual Taste the Passion Wine Tour! This year we served our 2011 Pinot Gris with clam chowder and offered cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in our vineyard to our visitors.

Introducing: Playa Blanca

We have another new wine to add to the list of Silver Leaf offerings! Please welcome, Playa Blanca! Playa Blanca is Spanish for "white sand". We see this as a very fitting name for Northern Michigan. The artwork on this new wine features the beautiful art of Stan Fellows, a regular at Silver Leaf. 

Playa Blanca is a blend of 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Pinot Gris. The wine is clean, light, bright, fresh, and fruity. It pairs well with whitefish, salads, and strong cheeses.

Stop in at our tasting room to sample our two new wines!

Good Times at Tawas Uncork'd

We had an excellent time at the 4th Annual Tawas Uncork'd and Untap'd! The annual event took place on Saturday, August 4th at Harbor Park in East Tawas. This annual fundraiser is sponsored by Friends of the East Tawas Library to raise money for a new community library. It brings together Michigan wine, ales, food, and mellow music.

You won't want to miss this event next year! It is held the first Saturday in August. Check out Tawas Uncork'd's Facebook Page for more information.

A Vineyard Wedding - Nicole & Mike

Congratulations to the happy couple, Nicole and Mike! They were married in our vineyard with the ceremony and reception right at our vineyard and tasting room. It was a gorgeous wedding and a wonderful evening to celebrate with friends and family.

Keith Scott Blues Live at Silver Leaf

If you're a blues fan, you will not want to miss this! Keith Scott will be playing LIVE at our winery on Saturday, July 14th from 5-9pm. Join the party at Silver Leaf and enjoy the amazing sounds of Keith Scott. Wine will be available by the glass. 

For the last 20+ years, Keith has been performing his brand of electrified blues. He has toured throughout the US, Europe and Canada - playing festivals, clubs and colleges. His music has been featured in a number of TV shows and soundtracks including the MTV hit shows, "Real World", "Road Rules" and "Making the Video". 

Keith has recorded five CDs or original material including blues, rock and acoustic music. Most impressively, Keith is a regular at Chicago's House of Blues.
