$302 Raised for AC PAW at the Spring Sip & Savor

Thank you to everyone who donated to AC PAW Animal Rescue during this year's Spring Sip & Savor! Over Saturday and Sunday of this past weekened, we raised $302 to help the sick, abused, homeless, and unwanted pets at AC PAW.

For those of you not familiar with AC PAW, they are a non-profit no-kill animal rescue. Since 1995, they have rescued over 7,000 cats and dogs here in northern Michigan. AC PAW holds a special place in our heart. For our regular guests you may remember our black lab, Gina. She was found with her brothers and sisters on the side of the road near our vineyard as a puppy. We called AC PAW and they helped to take care of the pups, spay/neuter them, and find loving forever homes for all of them except for Gina. We kept her and she spent her days living the good life at our vineyard.

If you'd still like to donate to AC PAW, we will happily accept donations anytime at our tasting room.

Cheers!

Check out a few of the photos from the weekend. Photos were taken by our friend, Kathleen Swinehart!

Spring Sip & Savor - Make-A-Wish Foundation Donations

We are proud to announce that in lieu of our fee for our full tasting menu during the Spring Sip & Savor this upcoming weekend, we will be accepting donations for the Make-A-Wish Foundation!

We were on a recent trip to/from Chicago when we stopped at a rest stop to let our dogs, Abby and Enzo, out of the car for a break. We ran into a family with an adorable young daughter who wanted to pet the dogs. After we started talking we realized they were on a trip to DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids with their five-year-old daughter, Nora. Nora is currently in stage four renal failure and will have a kidney transplant this fall.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation will help Nora's family to celebrate the end of her reanal failure journey by donating an all expenses paid trip to Disney World. With donations to this wonderful organization families like Nora can help to forget about the ugly events in their life and celebrate the amazing ones.

Please read Nora's story posted below as told by her mom, Tonya. Nora was our inspiration, and as you can tell, she is quite inspirational.

See you on the wine trail!
